Responsible Play
Last updated: 12 September 2026
Opening Packs should be fun. Because results are random, you can receive a Collectible worth less than you paid, and on average a Pack returns less than its price. Each Pack shows its exact average before you buy. Please only spend what you can comfortably afford to lose, and treat Ripstead as entertainment, never as a way to make money.
Tips for keeping it fun
- Set a budget before you start and stick to it.
- Never chase losses by opening more Packs to "win back" what you spent.
- Take regular breaks. Turbo mode, which skips the opening animation, is off by default. Keep it off if you want to slow down.
- Don't open Packs when you're upset, stressed or have been drinking.
- Don't borrow money or use money meant for bills to buy Packs.
Warning signs
It may be time to take a break or get help if you:
- spend more time or money than you intended;
- feel anxious, irritable or low when you're not opening Packs;
- hide your spending from family or friends;
- feel you need to open more Packs to get the same excitement.
Tools we provide
From launch, your account settings will let you set a spending limit, turn on reminders of how long you have been playing, and take a break, all without contacting us.
You can ask us at any time, at support@ripstead.com, to:
- set a spending limit on your account (daily, weekly or monthly);
- take a cool-off break for a period you choose; or
- self-exclude, which closes your account and blocks new accounts using your identity or payment details for at least 6 months.
We act on these requests within one business day. A lower limit applies immediately. A higher limit takes effect only after a 24-hour cooling-off period. Self-excluding never costs you your Collectibles: you can still ship them out or sell them back.
Minors
Ripstead is strictly for adults aged 18 or older (or older where the law requires). We require age confirmation at sign-up and verify identity before shipping. If you share a device with children, keep your login details private.
